Kamut (Khorasan) wheat is an ancient Egyptian form of the modern day durum wheat - one of the earliest cultivated grains. If you prefer the exotic flavour of kamut (khorasan) bread, you'll love this one!

Higher in protein and many minerals compared to modern wheat especially selenium - an antioxidant, zinc, and magnesium. Also known as a 'high energy' wheat due to its higher percentage of lipids, which produce more energy in the body than carbohydrates.

Good for people who cannot tolerate wheat, with a rich buttery flavour and excellent texture, crust and crumb.

Important: All bread is made fresh to order and sliced to standard thickness.

The wheat germ, bran and nutrients are retained, also giving a wonderful nutty flavour. The slower 18-hour fermentation sourdough process allows the dough to rise and the beneficial lactobacilli to fully develop. This helps digestion and produces that unique flavour that can be obtained no other way.
