Organic Green split peas have a mild sweet, earthy flavour. Bright green and related to the whole green pea. The whole pea is harvested, dried, then the outer skin or husk is removed, revealing a natural split in the pea. The pea is split to produce split peas which are quicker to cook as it easily absorbs water. No need to soak before cooking. The split pea has an earthier flavour than the whole dried pea.
High in protein, iron, cholesterol lowering fibre, minerals and B vitamins. A complete protein meal when combined with Organic Brown Rice. Perfect for vegetarians and all alike to boost your nutrition and health. Tastes great too.

Also use split peas to top your home-made pie, thicken soup or to make delicious dips and spreads. Try making bean burgers.
