Slippery elm bark powder contains mucilage, a gel-like substance which creates a film over mucus membranes. Antioxidants also found in the slippery elm, helps to lessen inflammation and relieve minor pain or discomfort, to sooth irritated or inflamed skin or tissue.

How to enjoy:
Drink - Mix 1-2 teaspoonfuls of Bonvit Slippery Elm Bark Powder with a glass of water. First mix into a paste using a little water, then add the remainder of the water and stir well.
Drink immediately and up to 4 times per day.
Add: honey, juice or any other natural flavours to taste.

Topical external use - Mix powder to a paste with boiling water to make a poultice, balm or salve.

Slippery Elm Tea:  To relieve a sore throat, create your own slippery elm tea by steeping about 2 tablespoons of powdered slippery elm bark in two cups of hot water for three to five minutes.
