Whole Flaxseed is the ideal way to keep flaxseed/linseed. Ground flaxseed and flaxseed oil should be kept in the refrigerator and has a shorter life. Whole flaxseed can be easily ground into a meal to sprinkle in your favourite dishes.

Use: Add to breakfast cereal, breads, scones, muffins, biscuits or your snack mix either whole or ground.

Whole - soak overnight and add to bread, scone, muffins and biscuit recipes. Or for a laxative effect, drink whole as the seed passes through undigested.

Ground - grind in a coffee grinder or special flax grinder into a fine meal. Fresh Flaxseed meal = full of nutrients.

Binding agent - 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds and 3 tablespoons of water acts as a binding agent for ingredients and can replace an egg in a recipe.
