Kialla’s wholegrain self raising flour is made using wholegrain plain flour blended with leavening agents (monocalcium phosphate monodydrate, sodium bicarbonate) which are acceptable additives under strict organic standards.  
 
It is produced by stone milling the whole wheat grain, and contains the bran and germ as well as the endosperm and is therefore highly nutritious.
 
Made from a hard wheat with a higher protein level. Has a medium-brown colour and gives a hearty flavour and robust texture to baked goods.
 
Our modern wheat has descended, via selective breeding, from ancient wheats such as emmer.
 
Whole wheat is a very good source of manganese and dietary fibre. It is also a good source of copper, magnesium, and pantothenic acid.
