    Quick cooking couscous or cous cous - perfect for those wishing a quick, easy to prepare, delicious and nutritious meal.
    This couscous is made from partially cooked grains of whole durum wheat and water. The bran of the wheat berry is retained in the whole durum wheat used in this couscous, so it is more nutritious than couscous made from white durum wheat.

    Couscous are granules made by rolling and shaping moistened grains - millet and wheat are commonly used.

    How to cook: Quick cooking.
    1. Place 1 cup of couscous into a heatproof bowl, add any additional seasonings listed below, add 2 tsp     organic extra virgin olive oil and 3/4 cup hot vegetable stock (or boiled water) - though stock tastes best!
    2. Cover tightly and leave for 4 mins till light in texture.
    3. Fluff up cous cous grains with a fork, add your favourite     seasonings and serve. Enjoy!

    Try adding any of the following to the dry couscous grain before adding stock -
    * minced garlic or ginger
    * a squeeze of lemon juice for a perfect balance of flavours
    * grated citrus zest or finely chopped preserved citrus e.g. lemon, orange, mandarin
    * a pinch of cinnamon or all spice
    * chopped dried apricots, sultanas and pine nuts
    * shredded fresh herbs such as mint, oregano, marjoram or lemon thyme.

    Serve: Hot, cold, plain or flavoured - a versatile accompanying dish.
    * As a light and delicious substitute for rice and pasta - traditionally served with stews.
    * Perfect with curries and other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern style dishes. Popular in North African and Persian cuisines. And now yours!
    * Great as gluten-fee breadcrumbs - use in your favourite stuffing recipe.
    * Popular in salads especially tabbouleh - parsley, mint, tomato, onions and     herbs and spices.
