    Organic cold-pressed Avocado oil - grown and produced on a farm at Blackbutt, Central Queensland.

    Melrose Organic Unrefined Avocado Oil is a high grade Australian produced oil.
     
    It is unrefined and has a slight greenish tinge with a nutty flavour. The oil is characterised by being highly monounsaturated. It is recommended for cooking and salads.
     
    The avocado tree (Persea gratissima) was first found growing in South America and seedlings were brought to Australia where it has thrived, particularly in Queensland.
     
    In contrast to most other vegetable oils, the avocado oil comes from the flesh instead of the stone of the fruit. Melrose Organic Avocado Oil is cold-pressed from the flesh of the avocado fruit. Like olive oil, avocado oil has high levels of antioxidants and beneficial fats, making it a healthy all-round cooking oil.
     
    It has good keeping qualities because of an inbuilt antioxidant system. Clinical trials have shown Avocado oil to be more easily absorbed by the skin, partly due to its content of palmitoleic.

    How to enjoy:
    Best used as a dressing and for general cooking. Melrose Organic Avocado Oil is light in colour with a buttery consistency and subtle avocado flavour.
    When to use this oil? Drizzle over salads, cooking at medium temperatures and to use as a finishing oil.
    Smoke point - medium. Can be heated to approximately 200°C.
