Anti-ageing:
As the skin ages, collagen and elastin fibres decrease, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles. Many factors contribute to, and may speed up the skin’s ageing process. Factors such as genetics and hormones; environmental factors such as pollution, UV damage; and lifestyle factors such as dehydration can make the skin age prematurely. But whilst there is little we can do to avoid some agents of ageing, a skincare regime that will moisturise and protect can prevent the skin from ageing too fast.

Store: La
Mav products should be stored below 25°C in a dry environment. Protect
from direct sunlight. Do not store below 5°C. It is advised not to store
La Mav products in the cars as high temperatures reached in the cars
can affect the quality of the natural products.
Shelf Life: La
Mav products have an unopened shelf life of 24 months from the date of
manufacture. The expiry date is printed on each product. The product
should be used within 6 months after opening.

Which Anti-ageing ingredients are used in La Mav’s Anti-ageing range?
1) Hyaluronic Acid is produced naturally by the body and provides continuous moisture to the skin. With age, the ability of the skin to produce Hyaluronic Acid decreases causing the skin to wrinkle and sag. By using it topically in a serum or moisturiser, much of the moisture loss can be replenished, revitalizing dry, mature and ageing skin. To be effective, the correct form of Hyaluronic Acid and sufficient quantity needs to be used. La Mav uses a natural source of hyaluronic acid to maintain and regulate optimum hydration level, which increases the skin’s firmness and helps reduce the wrinkles and fine lines.
2) Galactaric Acid is a natural potent antioxidant that protects the skin from pollution and aggression. It prevents the extrinsic ageing.
3) Ascophyllum Nodosum is a marine extract that lightens and exfoliates. It is a powerful antioxidant that provides protection against ageing of the skin and appearance of dark spots. (Link to before and after photo)
4) Chlorella Vulgaris is a perfect anti-ageing marine extract that corrects the vascular imperfections (link to before and after photos), lightens the appearance of dark circles (link to before and after photos) and stretch marks (link to before and after photos).
5) Hydrolysed Rhizobian Gum and Acacia Senegal Gum are two natural polymers that tighten skin through mechanical action leading to immediate decrease in wrinkle depth diminishing fine lines. (Link to before and after photos).
6) Phytic Acid is extracted from wheat bran and is an antioxidant anti-ageing ingredient and a skin lightener.
7) Commiphora Mukul Resin Extract is a natural anti-ageing ingredient that tones and firms skin by filling the wrinkles and plumping the skin.

9) Pisum Sativum Extract improves skin firmness and elasticity. It hydrates skin and protects and repairs damaged cells.

11) Cassia Alata Leaf Extract protects against photo-ageing. Very rich in flavinoids that has the natural protective system against UV (UVA and UVB) radiation on human skin cells. Supports the natural repairing process.
12) Hibisus Elsculentus Extract – Smoothes expression lines with Botox-like activity. Rich in oligopeptides it is a gentle and natural alternate to invasive cosmetic dermatological procedures to smooth expression lines and prevent wrinkles.
