Organic black sesame seeds are similar to the white sesame seeds, but are not hulled and have a stronger flavour and aroma.
Black sesame seeds have a rich nutty flavour, making them a delicious addition to curries, asian cooking and baking or simply eaten straight from the pack, for a protein-rich snack! For an eye-catching, nutritious addition, sprinkle black sesame seeds to your favourite salad or stir-fry.

Due to Australian customs regulations, we are not allowed to import raw sesame seeds therefore they have been roasted at 90-100 degrees Celsius for 8 min.

Certified Organic - Unhulled Black Sesame Seeds (200g) by Honest to Goodness.

Black Sesame Seeds - Highly nutritious type of sesame seed. Higher in magnesium and calcium. 

A 1/4 cup serving of Black Sesame Seeds provides:
- 126 mg of magnesium, or 32% of the Recommended Daily Value (DV), and
- 351 mg of calcium (35% of the DV).
That is more nutritious than a cup of milk.

Sesame seeds are exceptionally rich in iron, magnesium, manganese, copper, and calcium (90 mg per tablespoon of unhulled seeds, 10 mg of hulled), and contain vitamin B1 (thiamine) and vitamin E (tocopherol).

They contain lignans, including unique content of sesamin, which are phytoestrogens with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. Among edible oils from six plants, sesame oil had the highest antioxidant content. Sesame seeds also contain phytosterols associated with reduced levels of blood cholesterol.

Ingredients: Certified Organic hulled black sesame seeds. Hulled sesame seeds are raw as only a mechanical process is used to peel off the hull.
May contain traces of other nuts and seeds.
