Certified Organic Coconut Flakes (400g) by Honest To Goodness

Coconut is well known for its protein and lauric acid content - a super nutrient. Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid when consumed, transforms into a substance called monolaurin that can strengthen the immune system and fight various diseases and viruses. Lauric acid is found naturally in breast milk - a natural germ fighter and has been added to infant formula as protection and nourishment for babies.

When you consume coconuts - fresh or in a dried form such as
Coconut Butter/Oil, Coconut Flour and Desiccated Coconut, monolaurin exists to provide good health.

Why is Coconut a wonderful superfood?
* Ideal for baking - lower in carbohydrates compared to other flours and even some vegetables so easier to digest and a great addition to any recipe!

* Gluten free and hypoallergenic. High in protein like wheat flour, without the gluten proteins that cause allergies for some who are sensitive to gluten and wheat.

* High in fibre 58% - the highest amount of dietary fibre found in any flour and very high compared to some other vegetables. Wheat bran has only 27% fibre.

* Aids in weight loss - to a healthy weight. Low carbohydrates, no trans fats, high in fibre, protein and lots of lauric acid - Coconut aids healthy digestion, boosts metabolism whilst providing necessary amino acids in protein with good levels of energy.
