    Crafted from a dehydrated blend of Raw Cacao Powder, low GI (35) Coconut Nectar, Coconut Chips and Buckwheat, we add a choice selection of our favourite superfoods to complete the mix.

    Buckinis are made with Activated Sprouted Buckwheat to bring out the nutrients and for easier digestion. Buckwheat, despite its name, is not actually wheat. In fact it is not even a grain, it is a fruit. It belongs to the Achene family of fruits, which includes strawberries, sorrel, knotweed and rhubarb family.

    Buckwheat does not contain any gluten which makes it a great alternative for people with an intolerance for the stuff. It has a high protein content, has all essential amino acids and is especially high in Lysine, Tryptophan and Arginine.

    This is particularly important since the body cannot produce essential amino acids on its own and depends entirely on food sources to get them.

    Buckwheat alkalises our bodies, unlike other breakfast cereal bases such as oats, rice and wheat, which are acid forming in the body. Buckwheat is a rich source of protein, rutin and manganese.

    Certified Organic Chocolate Buckinis - Activated Raw (400g) by Loving Earth

    To activate buckwheat, we soak it, wash and rinse it, then dehydrate it at low temperatures (under 40°C). This allows for easier digestion and absorption of nutrients. This gives it a delicious crunch. This product is RAW, not cooked, to retain all its nutrients.

    Serving Suggestions:
    Great for breakfast or as a snack anytime - eat it straight as a trail mix or serve with your favourite milk and fresh fruits. You can also combine with other Loving Earth superfoods for added nutrition. 
     
    Ingredients: Certified Organic Activated Buckwheat, Organic Evaporated Coconut Nectar, Organic Coconut Chips, Organic Cacao Powder (8%), Organic Raw Cacao Nibs (6%), Organic Cranberries (apple juice sweetened).
