    Carwari Organic Hulled Tahini is slowly stone-milled and tastes creamy and lightly sweet. As sesame seeds are already hulled, the colour is a bit more whiteish than unhulled tahini.
     
    This product is best for but not limited to: Shakes, Ice creams, Desserts, Spread with honey, Dressings & Sauces, Asian & Middle Eastern dishes.

    This organic hulled tahini is produced from 100% organic hulled sesame seed. Perfect for sprouting with the hull removed. Slightly sweeter and more mild than unhulled sesame seeds.

    Health benefits:
    The nutrients of sesame seeds are better absorbed if they are stoneground before consumption, as in tahini -     a delicious creamy paste from the traditional slow stonegrinding of sesame seeds.

    Sesame seeds are exceptionally rich in iron, magnesium, manganese, copper, and calcium (90 mg per tablespoon of unhulled seeds, 10 mg of hulled), and contain vitamin B1 (thiamine) and vitamin E (tocopherol).

    They contain lignans, including unique content of sesamin, which are phytoestrogens with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. Among edible oils from six plants, sesame oil had the highest antioxidant content. Sesame seeds also contain phytosterols associated with reduced levels of blood cholesterol.


    Uses: Spread on gluten free corn or rice cakes and breads. Mix with honey, agave or pureed chick peas to make your own hummus, or any other pureed lentils or vegetables for your own wholesome dips and spreads. A    s well as a healthy addition to smoothies, for a high protein drink, desserts, cakes and cookies.
