Payments by Cards...

Payments using Credit Cards are only being accepted from Australian customers only at this time. This includes Christmas Island, Norfolk Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Orders shipped to destinations outside Australia must be paid with EFT or Western Union.
This is the fastest and most convenient way to pay for your order. Simply enter the card details directly into our website at checkout and you will be informed whether the card was accepted or declined after confirming your order.
Most major credit, debit and charge cards are accepted including Visa Card, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB and the Discover network. Personal, supplementary, corporate, branded, debit and rewards versions of these cards are equally welcome.
We do not add any surcharge or additional fee for paying with a credit, debit or charge card using this payment method.
Processing of your payment via Australia Post's SecurePay system is very secure (using latest SSL encryption technologies and conforming withPCI DSS Compliance security standards) and notification of success or failure at checkout is instant. Your credit card information is entered by you on our website and transmitted over a secure connection directly to the SecurePay servers, which respond with a success or failure code.
You never need to leave our website during the checkout process to complete your payment using this payment method. This website never stores any of your credit card details after your secure session has ended. Additionally, the SecurePay system never allows merchants such as ourselves to see any complete credit card card numbers or other identifying information that could be used to charge your card again. For these reasons, any additional purchases will require you to privately and securely re-enter your card details each time.
If your payment is successful, your order status will advance immediately to the preparation ('Processing') stage. You will be notified by email of the success of the transaction with an order confirmation email showing GST-inclusive prices. You will again be notified by email when your order has been despatched advising you of important shipping details including shipment tracking numbers where applicable.
If your payment is unsuccessful, you will be sent back to the checkout page where you can try again with the same card or try with another card or select an alternative payment option such as the other payment methods listed on this webpage.
Note that to reduce fraud and spam all credit and charge cards are declined by the card processor if the internet connection is proxied. Try to place the order and pay with credit card using a different internet connection method (or disable any vpn/proxy/ipanonymiser on the current internet connection briefly during the checkout process if possible).

PayPal:
Payments using PayPal are only being accepted from Australian customers only at this time. This includes Christmas Island, Norfolk Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Orders shipped to destinations outside Australia must be paid with EFT or Western Union.
We currently provide instant direct login access to your PayPal account at checkout so you may pay for your order using funds in a PayPal account.
The PayPal processing gateway may also allow you to use you Visa Card, MasterCard, debit card and some charge cards to pay for your order. American Express is generally accepted by PayPal only for customers residing outside Australia.
A PayPal account is not normally required when using your card at the PayPal checkout. If you already have an existing PayPal account, you have the option to use funds you already have in your PayPal account to pay for your order - simply log in to your PayPal account using your email address when prompted during checkout using this payment method.
We do not add any surcharge or additional fee for paying with PayPal funds or with a card using this payment method.

Note that the email sent from PayPal will list the unit prices excluding GST for items purchased whereas the email you receive from Organic Buyers Group will show GST-inclusive prices. You will again be notified by email when your order has been despatched advising you of important shipping details including shipment tracking numbers where applicable.
If your payment is unsuccessful, you will be sent back to the Step 1: Delivery Instructions page where you can try again or select an alternative payment option such as the other payment methods listed on this webpage. NOTE: In some cases, if you lack the available funds in your PayPal account, your transaction may still be successful and an eCheck payment is made whilst the funds to cover the PayPal account deficiency are recovered using direct debits by PayPal from another account. We have seen eChecks taking up to 7 business days to clear (!). We will hold your shipment during the time taken by PayPal to confirm the eCheck funds have cleared. Remember to check you PayPal available funds balance is enough to pay for your order.

PayPal (Send Money):
This is another way you can use your PayPal funds to pay for your order.
Firstly you will need to choose the PayPal (Send Money) payment method at checkout, then confirm your order to display your order number on the screen. This order number and other order information will also be instantly sent to you in the Order Confirmation email so you can check your email account to ensure the order process has competed successfully.
Next you will then need to log in to a PayPal account on your own (go to www.PayPal.com) and initiate a 'Send Money' request from the 'Send Money' tab.

Orders paid by PayPal (Send Money) will be prepared for despatch as soon as the funds have been cleared in our account (typically we will receive your funds immediately and will advise you otherwise).
NOTE: In some cases, if you lack the available funds in your PayPal account, your transaction may still be successful and an eCheck payment is made whilst the funds to cover the PayPal account deficiency are recovered using direct debits by PayPal from another account. We have seen eChecks taking up to 7 business days to clear (!). We will hold your shipment during the time taken by PayPal to confirm the eCheck funds have cleared. Remember to check you PayPal available balance is enough to pay for your order before using PayPal (Send Money).

Bank Transfer/EFT:
Money transfers may be made directly to our Australian bank account using banking facilities provided by your financial institution. This payment type is also known as 'Net Banking', 'Internet Banking', 'Interbank Transfer', 'EFT', or 'Electronic Funds Transfer'. Typically, these facilities will be available via your bank's or financial institution's online login/access/website/portal/app. Contact your bank's or financial institution's help centre if you require assistance with this procedure.
Note that you will then need to log in to your bank's or financial institution's online login/access/website/portal/app and initiate a transfer to our bank account after you have completed the order checkout process on this website and have received your order number.
We do not add any surcharge or additional fee for using this payment method, although it would be in your interest to confirm with your financial institution whether any fees are imposed by them for transactions you process in this way. Most bank accounts now include at least a handful of fee-free transfers per month. International transfers will likely attract bank fees imposed by the facilitating financial institution/s.

Money transfers may be made directly to our Australian bank account using Western Union. This payment type requires user registration on the Western Union online website/app at https://www.westernunion.com. Contact Western Union's help centre if you require assistance with this procedure.
Note that you will then need to log in to the Western Union online website/app and send a transfer to our bank account after you have completed the order checkout process on this website and have received your order number. You will be given a payment tracking number to monitor the status of your payment.
We do not add any surcharge or additional fee for using this payment method, although it would be in your interest to confirm with Western Union whether any fees are imposed by them for transactions you process in this way.

Gift Certificates...

Gift Certificates/Vouchers:
If you wish to pay for your order with some or all of the funds from a valid Organic Buyers Group gift certificate, please select the Bank Transfer/EFT payment option when prompted at Step 2 to enable you to proceed through the checkout. You will need to let us know that you are using funds from a gift certificate towards the payment of your order by making a note of the gift certificate number in the Special Instructions/Order Comments section during checkout.
You can partially redeem your gift certificate by making a note of the amount you wish to use from the gift certificate in the Special Instructions/Order Comments section during checkout. .If you do not specify any amount, we will exhaust the available funds in the gift certificate before asking you to pay the remaining balance (if any) via Bank Transfer/EFT before we despatch your order. We will notify you of any remaning balance in the gift certificate if the order value (including shipping costs if applicable) is less than the funds available in the gift certificate.
Multiple gift certificates may be used towards payment of a single order.
The full value of gift certificates must be used within a year of purchase and any funds remaining a year after the issue date will be forfeited.
